Rayuela takes as its starting point the children’s game of the same name and Julio Cortázar’s novel. Drawing on these connections, the piece approaches flamenco as a space for movement and transformation, engaging with ideas of identity.

The production also draws on the figure of Oliveira, the novel’s protagonist, whose constant and indeterminate quest forms part of the work’s imagery. In this sense, Rayuela presents a convergence of literary reference and theatrical language, situating flamenco within a broader field of symbolic and contemporary associations.

The performance brings together the dancer Marco Flores alongside brothers David and Alfredo Lagos, on vocals and guitar.
